Feasibility & Site Selection
Assessing the feasibility of a clinical study has major impact on subsequent recruiting and conduction processes. Increasing complexity of study projects and growing demands on study procedures and study teams make the detailed presentation and discussion of study projects with potential future investigators an important tool.
Past experience has shown that assessing feasibility in the course of a personal visit to the site offers a number of advantages:
- Higher number of completed Feasibility Assessment questionnaires
- Increased conclusiveness of Feasibility Assessment questionnaires
- Realistic enrolment estimates
- Offering prospective investigators the possibility to comment on
the study design and the practical application - Less amendments
- Accelerated recruitment
- Reduced study duration
- Accelerated commercial launch
Throughout the recent years we progressively perfected our procedures for strategic and operational feasibility assessments covering in particular the indications of dermatology, endocrinology, otolaryngology, haematology, cardiology/cardiovascular diseases, nephrology, oncology, paediatrics, pulmonology, urology and women’s health.
Based on the feasibility results and our experience we are able to systematically identify and recruit appropriate study sites.
